The central hinge joins the two parts of the frame. It is what allows the machine to fold between sessions. Follow the folding steps described in the manual, every time.
The weight is something to plan for: 68 kg. The folding format makes storage easier, but moving the machine takes some organisation. Choose an accessible storage spot close to your practice area to keep moving it to a minimum.
