Reformer Foot Straps

Reformer foot straps support your leg exercises on the machine. Their length is adjusted with a buckle; how they attach needs to be checked against the fittings on your reformer.

Reformer foot straps: length set with a buckle

On a reformer, the foot straps go around your feet so you can work your legs against the resistance of the springs while lying on the carriage. The buckle lets you adjust the length to your position and the exercise you have planned. These straps cost €19.95.

Fittings and compatibility: check your machine before ordering

Compatibility is not guaranteed: every reformer has its own attachments between rope and strap. Before ordering, take the time to check:

• the shape of the attachment at the end of your ropes;
• the length and width of your current straps, if you are replacing them;
• the type of buckle you are looking for;
• the brand and exact model reference of your reformer.

Replacing your foot straps: preparing the change

If you are replacing existing straps, keep a photo of the current set-up: it will help you compare the fittings and put each part back in the same place. Unhook the old straps with the carriage at rest, then compare them with the new ones before fitting them.

Once the straps are in place, adjust the buckle to your position. Check that every attachment is properly closed before resuming your sessions. Our care and installation page brings together the points to check regularly on your reformer.

Straps, ropes, handles: build your reformer accessories

Foot straps are dedicated to leg work. For pulling exercises with the arms, our adjustable-length hand straps are sold as a pair. If your machine’s ropes also need renewing, the pair of 8 mm ropes is available in an extra-long length.
