Folding reformer or studio reformer?
A folding reformer suits a room that has other uses: the machine folds away after your session. Compare the folded size with your storage spot, and the weight with the handling you are prepared to do. A studio reformer stays set up in place. Its fixed frame is intended for a dedicated room, at home or in a professional studio.
Do you need a tower or a Cadillac?
The tower adds a vertical frame and attachment points above the carriage. The 3-in-1 model combines reformer, tower and Cadillac on a single base. These versions are approximately 1.93 m to 2.08 m tall: check the ceiling height and the clearance around the machine. For a Cadillac table on its own, a chair or a barrel, see our studio equipment.
Points to check before choosing
- The practice space: the length of the machine, plus a passage to move around it.
- Access: doors, corridor, stairs or lift to the room.
- Resistance: the number of springs and their settings.
- Accessories: the box, straps and handles included or to add from our Pilates accessories.
