Pilates reformer price: what does each model cost (home, studio, with tower)?

At Pilates Douceur, a Pilates reformer costs from €699 for a compact foldable model to €2,499.95 for a 3-in-1 studio reformer with built-in tower and Cadillac. The difference comes down to the format (foldable or fixed), the frame material, the number of springs and whether there is a tower. Below you will find the price of each model, what drives the differences and the extra costs to budget for.

The price of a class or the price of a machine?

A search for “reformer Pilates price” covers two different questions: the cost of a studio session and the cost of buying a machine. This article looks only at the purchase price of a reformer and the equipment that goes with it.

Our reformers fall into two groups: foldable models designed for the home, and fixed studio models. All prices below include VAT and free standard delivery to 30 European countries.

Foldable reformers for the home: from €699 to €1,599.95

Foldable reformers fold away after your session so you can get your room back.

• The Compact Foldable Reformer (€699) is the most compact: 105 × 55 × 24 cm folded, and it weighs 32 kg. It has 5 springs and adjustable armrests. Resistance bands, a ball with pump and a ring are included; the sitting box is sold separately.
• The Wooden Foldable Reformer (€1,399.95) has a solid maple frame and a carriage on bearings. It measures 240 × 60 × 60 cm unfolded and 140 × 60 × 46 cm folded.
• The Aluminium Foldable Reformer (€1,599.95) measures 237 × 74 × 28 cm unfolded and 136 × 74 × 50 cm folded, and weighs 68 kg. It comes in black, grey, orange or white.

Fixed studio reformers: from €1,499.95 to €2,499.95

Fixed models stay put, which makes them ideal for a dedicated room or a professional studio. You will find them in the studio reformers collection.

• Wooden Studio Reformer (€1,499.95): fixed solid wood frame, 6 springs, carriage on bearings, 241 × 72 × 99.5 cm, 78 kg. Available in black, white or grey.
• Studio Reformer with Tower (€1,999.95): reformer and tower on the same base, 6 springs, 228 × 68 × 193 cm, 119 kg.
• 3-in-1 Studio Reformer (€2,499.95): reformer, tower and Cadillac combined, oak frame, 242 × 72 × 208 cm, 135 kg.

What affects the price of a reformer?

Four factors account for most of the price difference: the frame material, the number of springs, the format and the accessories included.

Frame material

Our reformers come in aluminium, solid maple, solid wood and oak. The material affects how heavy the machine is to handle, how it looks and how much it costs: if you will need to move it, compare the weight listed on each product page. It is also a question of style, as a reformer stays on show in the room.

Number of springs and adjustments

Springs set the resistance: the more springs, the more resistance combinations. The Compact Foldable Reformer has 5, our studio reformers have 6, and the 3-in-1 adds 10 trapeze springs for the Cadillac section.

Foldable or fixed format, built-in tower

The format affects both price and use. A foldable model can be put away; a fixed one is always ready to use. A tower adds a vertical frame and a whole new set of exercises, which is why the Studio Reformer with Tower costs €500 more than the Wooden Studio Reformer, and the 3-in-1 a further €500 on top. Accessories included or sold separately

Compare the complete package, not just the headline price. The Compact Foldable Reformer includes resistance bands, a ball with pump and a ring, but not the sitting box. Check each product page to see what comes with the machine.

Extra costs to budget for

On top of the machine itself, you will often want a few accessories and, over time, replacement wear parts.

Check that parts are compatible with your model. The Pilates box is the most popular add-on: it lets you do seated, lying and side-lying exercises.

Finally, if the machine is not right for you, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal, and you can also return an item up to 30 days after receipt provided it is new, unused and complete. Return costs are your responsibility unless the item is faulty: with machines weighing 32 to 135 kg, it is worth measuring carefully before you order.

Buying several machines: volume pricing

If you are equipping a studio, gym or venue, volume pricing is available on quotation from 2 pieces of equipment. The quote request form lets you give your profile (studio, sports or wellness professional, company or venue), your company and your company registration or VAT number. Personalisation with your business name can be discussed as part of your quote.
