The Pilates Douceur reformer spring replaces a single spring on your machine. It is designed for reformers with a 5-spring set-up, provided its length and tension match your model.

Replacement reformer spring: renew the resistance one part at a time

On a reformer, the springs connect the carriage to the frame and set the resistance for each exercise. When one spring needs replacing, there is no need to change them all: this spring is sold individually, at €19.95. You order exactly the quantity you need and keep your usual settings.

It is intended for reformers fitted with 5 springs. If your machine has a different number, please contact us with its model reference before ordering.

Reformer spring compatibility: check your model

Compatibility is not guaranteed from one reformer to another. Length, tension and hook design vary between manufacturers and product lines. Before ordering, gather the following details:

• the brand and exact model reference of your reformer;
• the number of springs fitted to the machine;
• the length of your current spring, measured at rest from one hook to the other;
• a photo of both ends and of the attachment point on the carriage.

Replacing a reformer spring: good habits

Work with the carriage at rest and the springs unhooked. Place the old and new springs side by side to compare their length and hooks. Replace one part at a time so you keep the fitting order, then check that every hook is properly in place before resuming your sessions. If your machine’s manufacturer describes a specific procedure in its manual, follow it.

Reformer spare parts: keep your machine complete

The spring is one of our reformer spare parts. Depending on the condition of your machine, you can also renew the 8 mm reformer ropes, sold as a set of 2, or the handles. You will find them all in the Pilates accessories collection. For every part, the process is the same: your model, its reference, then a message before you order.
